Terms

Home Services terms of use.

Using the Callbook Home Services site is simple, and so are the rules. These terms explain what the site is, what a request is and is not, and what you agree to by using it. They supplement Callbook's Terms of Service.

1. Who we are and what this site does

Callbook Home Services (services.getcallbook.com) is operated by Callbook. The site lets you describe a home service need, see which businesses cover your ZIP code, read guides, and send a request to a business that runs on Callbook. Callbook is a platform and broker for those requests; it does not itself perform home services.

2. Two kinds of businesses

Businesses on Callbook are independent local businesses that chose to be listed. They are not Callbook’s employees or agents. Each is responsible for its own licensing, insurance, pricing, scheduling and work. Callbook asks them to provide a written estimate before any work and a three-hour arrival window, and removes businesses that repeatedly fall short, but Callbook does not guarantee their work.

Other local businesses are shown from a live web search using the phone number and website on their own sites. Callbook has not vetted, booked or been paid by them and makes no representation about them. Contacting them is between you and them.

3. Requests, estimates and payment

  • Sending a request does not book an appointment, charge you anything or create a contract for work. It starts an estimate review.
  • Any agreement for work, its price and its terms are between you and the business, confirmed before you approve service. Callbook is not a party to that agreement.
  • You do not pay Callbook through this site. Any payment goes to the business under its own terms.
  • Cost figures in guides are typical ranges for information only, not quotes or offers.

4. Guides and safety

Guides, brand pages and articles are general information, reviewed on the date shown on each page, and are not professional, legal or safety advice for your situation. They only ever suggest things you can look at safely. Do not attempt repairs based on them. In an emergency, contact your utility or emergency services first.

5. What you agree to

  • Give accurate information in a request and only send requests for work you actually want estimated.
  • Only upload photos you have the right to share, without people, documents or access codes.
  • Do not scrape, copy or republish the site’s content, interfere with the service, or use it to harass businesses or other people.
  • You are responsible for anyone you let use your account.

6. Content and ownership

The site’s text, design, images and code belong to Callbook or its licensors. Brand names on brand pages belong to their owners; Callbook is not affiliated with, authorized by or endorsed by them. You keep the rights to the information and photos you send and grant Callbook and the assigned business a license to use them to handle your request.

7. Disclaimers and liability

The site is provided as is. To the fullest extent the law allows, Callbook disclaims warranties about the site, the guides and the businesses shown, and is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for the acts or omissions of any business. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be limited by law.

8. Changes, disputes and the rest

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the current version, and continued use after a change means you accept it. Callbook’s full Terms of Service, including governing law and dispute resolution, apply to this site and control if there is a conflict with this page. Questions go to legal@getcallbook.com.
